Advice for Pregnancy

We would like to take a little time out to discuss being pregnant with you ladies.

Hopefully by the time you find yourself pregnant you are thrilled about it …….

As with everything in life some people sail through their pregnancy with ease experiencing very little in the way of unpleasant symptoms, and to that effect we have to say we are actually jealous, most of the women in the office around here all have different stories to tell, but not one of them had what you might call a really great time. If you are one of the lucky ones then we hope you enjoy it to the max because you are one of a rare few!

If you are more on the average side then you have our sympethies. For a lot of women the morning sickness in the first few weeks can be dreadfall, and of course being pregnant means you cannot take hard core prescription drugs for the safety of the baby. We do have some completely safe remedies for you try though, if you have no one to guide you and they really can work for some people.

1.  Ginger – either ginger biscuits or any food made with ginger – or pop a natural herbal pill. These are completely safe for both of you so you don’t have to worry.

2.  Ginger Tea

3.  Fennel Tea

4.  Dandelion Tea

Eat light i.e. toast etc. like when you have a stomach upset but make sure you take a multivitamin tablet all the time for as long as the morning sickness lasts just to make sure you are fully covered for nutrition.

If you develop cravings as most women do, it will be useless to try and fight it, but again you will no doubt end up being sick.

Keep on the move when and if possible, remember you are not ill, you are probably feeling like it but you are pregnant which is just healthy.

If you feet start to swell up then elevate your legs on a on a puff and make sure they are higher than your actual body. This should help with the swelling.

If you feel unwell in any way go straight to your GP and don’t take any chances. High blood pressure any many other things are completely normal during any pregnancy so you must get things checked out.

Hopefully the labour will be better than the pregnancy.

We wish you all the best and hope that once you come face to face with this precious little bundle that has been making you feel unwell for the last nine months they will all melt away as a distant memory and you will forget all about how rotten you felt some days, this is all normal to being pregnant.

Pregnancy Guide

There is an article today on women who suffer from moring sickness.. Any women who has experienced the wonders and downside of pregnancy and all that goes will undoubltly appreciate and sympthaize with this article.

If you are one of those one in a million women that sailed through their pregnancy with no morning sickness or other major problems then you were very very lucks.

The rest of us mere mortals will totally understand that awful first few months when you feel really really wretched before you start to show.

For the unfortunate few, this morning sickness business can last right through the pregnancy.

Some women have a labour that is nothing but being sick.

We are all so very different.

Anyway, the article was saying that if your mother suffered with morning sickness badly then chances are you will, they think it is all about genetics.

We have no control over this – some women carry wonderfully and dont even have much water, others are not so lucky.

However, there is something that we all have in common, at the end of this long long nine months (god willing!) you get to meet your son or daughter, and suddenly the last year just melts away as a distant memory when you look down and see this wonderful bundle of life that you produced.

It makes the last few months all worth while.

Then your problems really begin, as the nurses and midwives will be the very first to tell you.

Tip:  If you do suffer a lot from morning sickness, try eating some ginger biscuits or anything made from ginger, or buy some of those seasickness/travel accupunture wrist bands and wear them, a lot of people find these simple little things really do help them…….. anything for some relief!
