Developmental Toys
Playing with your baby is fantastic fun. Babies are so much work, that it is great to enjoy the special times. If you can afford to they need a wide selection of everything. Soft toys, we all can remember back to our favourite teddy bear or blanket etc. and toys that make noises. Shapes and colours and different textures all mean an amazing new world to your little one.
You need to introduce them slowly to as much as possible. Sights and sounds, smells everything needs to be shown to them slowly. Round shape in round hole that sort of thing.
Nowadays, some of these toys can be very expensive, so it will probably be a very gradual thing. Start off with soft cuddly safe toys and gradually expand little by little with one new thing here and there until your baby is old enough to be trying to speak and you can go on to books to read and tons of other activities.
It is a much fun for the proud mum and dad as it is for baby to learn to be able to teach another human being its first words and their first steps in life. These are very big events and not to be missed.
There are loads of top brands on the market like Fisher Price, V. Tech, Lego and literally thousands of them. You can always pick up a bargain somewhere.
Have fun with your little one!

Developmental Toys
We understand the urge to purchase that cute fluffy soft animal in the shop window, the little bunny or teddy, and every child should have a few. However even from 0- 6 months you will need to purchase toys that will make sounds, have bright colours, shapes ec. and generally start to teach them all about the world around them.
Obviously they must be safe and soft and yet practical in purpose. You can buy such fun toys nowadays. This is a lovely time for both you and your little one. As they get older you can read to them, even though they won’t have a clue as to what you are saying, the very sound of your voice will be enough to soothe them and maybe later on they will try to read the words with you, perhaps when it is their favourite story.
When you are out with them in the buggy you can show them the trees and flowers and colours. Helping them up and down the stairs as you will be you can make it fun and count 1 – 2- 3 etc and in a short time you will find they can count upto 10.
It is amazing how fast they pick things up and learn, and you will feel a sense of pride when you realise that it is you that taught them these first precious things.
