Play time with baby is such a fantastic time you won’t want to put babies toys down when they have finished with them. Long after they are settled and gone to bed – you will find you are playing with them.

With the bright and colourful colours of today and all the sounds and fascinating things that they do it opens up a whole world to baby and you to and you can discover it together.

We would always advise that you purchase your toys from a reputable place. Please try and buy branded names, names you can trust, not unknown quantities from the local corner shop or something, these toys can be quite dangerous as many parent shave found out to their dettriment.

We are always concerned first and foremost with the health and safety of your baby as you are. The lasg thing anyone wants for an accident to happen.

That is why when we decided to go into the toy market we made the safe decision to only stock names that you can trust.

Everyone loves teddies and we have a lovely collection of these as well, so don’t forget to pop one in your cart before you leave, they are going well and in a few styles we only have 1 left in stock, so be quick before they are all gone.

We have not discussed this subject for awhile. Once your baby get’s old enough to start to sit up and shows signs of being interested in the world around them, things start to get very interesting all round.

You will need some toys that help with this stage. Basic stuff at first of course though, shapes in the right places, colours, sounds and numbers and letters. As you go round the toys you will see ages on the boxes and these will help to guide you – things that stimulate their minds and hands. Eye co-ordination, lights, colours, sounds that sort of thing. Make sure you buy branded goods though, unbranded items are not really safe, as baby will have a tendancy to put everything in their mouths at this stage.

With toys you have to make sure everything is upto code so to speak.

No hairy items, little balls etc. all these items can be very dangerous.

Both you and your baby should be able to get tons of fun out of these, and you will be rewarded for your efforts just by watching how they develop, learn and grow with all these things.

You don’t have to buy everything. As they get older and they start to walk count from 1 upwards as they go up and down the stairs. You will find if you give them a saucepan and spoon they will be more than happy than if you go out and buy a drum kit believe us!!! and it is a lot cheaper on your pocket.

Half the time you will find baby is more interested in the box that the toy comes in than the toy itself.

Next subject is Baby Clothes and Baby Gowns

Educational Toys these are the beginning of the fun part of your little ones lives. Playing with your baby should be such fun, just like bath times and bedtimes. Although babies are an awful lot of work, enjoy them. You only get the chance once to share their lives at each stage, and you don’t want to miss out on any of it believe us.

Playing with them can be as much fun for you as it is for them! Teaching them colours, shapes, textures, the alphabet to count to ten what animals are what, the trees the birds around them can be so interesting if you make it such.

The toys that are on the market today are bright and colourful, and make such great sounds with lights and allsorts that sharing your time with them and then showing daddy when he walks through the door are the precious moments.

We would strongly advise though that you only purchase new toys and branded ones. No boot sales etc. We totally understand how expensive everything is – so make just one really nice purchase for awhile and then gradually build on it as and when you can – we certainly don’t want you to be bankrupt buying them toys.

Do it slowly, one here and there, maybe a family member might be kind enough to chip in or other friends or aunties or uncles, it doesn’t all have to come from your pocket.

Make sure the toys are safe. That is why we advocate branded and new for safety, no other reason. Unless you have family members who are willing to pass down their toddlers toys as they grow out of them, things like that will always help.

Don’t forget now, set aside a certain time every week or several days a week if you can manage it, and enjoy playing with your little one, these are special memory times we can assure you………..

Although we do not personally sell these, we are still very interested in the entire concept of your little ones. That mean their nutrition, their health, (i.e. jabs etc ) and of course their development.

You ideally need to make learning fun! It will absorb into their minds in a lovely way if they are actually enjoying themselves, you will find that toddlers and babies are like sponges, whether it is good or bad habits they pick them up very quickly by listening and watching…….don;t say we didn’t warn you!

When making your purchases for any sort of toy make sure that you buy a reputable brand. There are so many out there on the market you are spoilt for choices.

Bright and colourful, loud and interesting that is what you are aiming for. Grab their attention, when they are very young, their attention span is just a very short time, then they will get bored and want to move on to something else. So make sure it is interesting with lights and sounds. Sit with them and explore and explain everything.

When your toddler is trying to walk, help them up the stairs and down and count the stair as you both go. There are lots of little tips that are simple things – but they all add up.

When out and about in the car if you pass a field with animals in it tell them what they are and make the sound of the animal. We know it sounds nutty, but it works.

Children need stimulation, in order to learn and understand that you cannot put something that is round into a square hole! This is your job.

You will find that you are having as much fun as your little one by the end it all. Learning is fun make it such!

We would like to change the subject for a moment to talk to you about Developmental Toys for your baby. Buying clothes and toys for your little ones are the fun part. Every women on the planet likes to go shopping and buying toys is fun for everybody.

When you first have your baby you are tired and stressed out getting into a routine, and with regards to toys they would really be only soft plush cuddly animals and friends at this stage.

After the first few months though things can start to get really interesting. There are a lot of good brands that do toys that help baby to recognise colours and shapes and sounds. You want to make it simple but fun at first, nothing to heavy or complicated for them. Little things like mirrors and sounds things that make them laugh and smile are great fun.

In the bath is also a good place. You can buy just a cheap plastic yellow duck – simple things like this but they will give your little one tons of pleasure. They might even make you laugh too.

As they grow and develop you can start getting into more sophisticated toys. You can now get a small computer by Vi-Tech these are not cheap toys but they will give your little one a really good start in life, which is what it is all about really but in a fun way.

We would like to make a small point here: Please do not be tempted to buy toys from market places or boot sales etc. We urge you to purchase proper brands from reputable shops and stores around the country. You should be able to find bargains between the high streets, shopping centres and on the web. Our motto here is Safety First.

Next to discuss is Baby Clothes and Baby Bedding and Baby Gro’s

We would like to take a moment out of the day to talk to you about learning. This can be made to be such fun nowadays for your little one. In order to teach them the social skills they are going to need later on in life, you want to get started slowly while they are young. Babies and toddlers are like a sponge. They just absorb everything around them, colours, lights, sounds and shapes. That is why around the six months mark they are perfect for all the fun development toys that are out there now to buy. It is fun at that age trying to put a round peg in a square hole.

Cars or trucks that light up. Most toddlers like to play with bricks. They like to build things. We would urge you to purchase new toys, if you really cannot afford them, and you have to have second hand, then please serilise them before you give them to your little one – as you are no doubt well aware everything for the first few months go straight into their little mouths as they suck and chew on stuff.

Make sure everything is clean before they try to eat it. If you have any pets, please keep them away from your babies toys.

You will be spoilt for choice when looking for toys for your little one. There are so many brands nowadays and places like Toys R Us to go to and you can nearly always get a reasonable price for them.

You will find that after you have put down baby for the evening you will also get a lot of fun playing with the new toys as they arrive in the different stages of learning.

See babies can be great fun….

We would like to take a minute of your time to talk about Developmental Toys for your little one. Everyone needs to have fun and that is just what these toys are all about. Although they have tons of play value they all teach baby in such a way no-one even realizes it. Baby will be amused for hours and they will be learning all the time. It is very important not to purchase unknown cheap products, although you may well be tempted to buy them please don’t. We here at Baby2You.co.uk only recommend Top Branded Products. If you hunt around on the web or in the shops like Toys R Us etc. you will usually be able to find a good selection and reasonable price. Fisher Price, and all the top names are the only ones to go for.
You may at some time in the future extend your family, or maybe you have a brother or sister to pass them onto. But they really are worth buying.

These toys will teach baby all about sounds, colours, lights, shapes and so much more. What animals are called and look like, the alphabet, to count the list is endless.

You want to give your baby the very best start in life and these products will help you to do that in a fun way.

Next to discuss is Baby Clothes and Baby Bedding

Typically this is not something we are into, however this is a big year for us and we are venturing into unknown territory so to speak. We have all been putting our heads together hear and brain storming. Toys….. should we should’nt we.?

Would this be something that would interest you?

We are always interested in your comments. Obviously the health and safety of your little one is paramount. We would only be interested in this sort of category if we were to sell a really top quality product that is above and beyond reproach. This of course would mean that the suppliers that we purchased the toys from would be of a highly reputable name like Grund or somebody like that – and they would charge us quite a lot even purchasing in large quantities – so we would have to pass this on to yourselves… and we can’t imagine in this economic state that our country is in at the moment that you would want to or possibly could afford to outlay very large amount of money, just for a babies toy.

If we get a lot of feedback from yourselves that you would be seriously interested in purchasing from us top quality toys then we may have a go and dabble.

We would love to try this avenue out – but this recession has put a different turn on the ideas we had with regard to the company. Just like you – we have to be very careful about everything that we buy in. The last thing we can afford to do is get stuck with a lot of unwanted stock.

Next up for discussion is Baby Clothes and Baby Gift Sets

Playing with your baby is fantastic fun. Babies are so much work, that it is great to enjoy the special times. If you can afford to they need a wide selection of everything. Soft toys, we all can remember back to our favourite teddy bear or blanket etc. and toys that make noises. Shapes and colours and different textures all mean an amazing new world to your little one.

You need to introduce them slowly to as much as possible. Sights and sounds, smells everything needs to be shown to them slowly. Round shape in round hole that sort of thing.

Nowadays, some of these toys can be very expensive, so it will probably be a very gradual thing. Start off with soft cuddly safe toys and gradually expand little by little with one new thing here and there until your baby is old enough to be trying to speak and you can go on to books to read and tons of other activities.

It is a much fun for the proud mum and dad as it is for baby to learn to be able to teach another human being its first words and their first steps in life. These are very big events and not to be missed.

There are loads of top brands on the market like Fisher Price, V. Tech, Lego and literally thousands of them. You can always pick up a bargain somewhere.

Have fun with your little one!

Next topic will be on Baby Gowns and Baby Clothes

We understand the urge to purchase that cute fluffy soft animal in the shop window, the little bunny or teddy, and every child should have a few. However even from 0- 6 months you will need to purchase toys that will make sounds, have bright colours, shapes ec. and generally start to teach them all about the world around them.

Obviously they must be safe and soft and yet practical in purpose. You can buy such fun toys nowadays. This is a lovely time for both you and your little one. As they get older you can read to them, even though they won’t have a clue as to what you are saying, the very sound of your voice will be enough to soothe them and maybe later on they will try to read the words with you, perhaps when it is their favourite story.

When you are out with them in the buggy you can show them the trees and flowers and colours. Helping them up and down the stairs as you will be you can make it fun and count 1 – 2- 3 etc and in a short time you will find they can count upto 10.

It is amazing how fast they pick things up and learn, and you will feel a sense of pride when you realise that it is you that taught them these first precious things.

Our subject next time will be Baby Gift Sets
