Pyjamas
Now the nights are drawing in fast, and the evenings seem long we are turning our thoughts to nightwear, in particular babies pyjamas. We did use to sell babies pjs in Fleece and also in a velour fabric. However due to the fact that they did not seem to be all that popular we have decided to go back to the more usual fabric. We do either cotton or poly cotton.
We do not advise young infants to wear these garments. We think 6 months or above is a suitable age to start wearing these items if that is the sort of nightwear you are interested in dressing your baby in.
Velour sleepsuits are a far more practical idea, and we do them upto 2 years of age (which our customers tell us are very hard to find out there!). However some mums and dads just prefer pjs and whatever you want suits us.
Our pjs are made in Portugal. They are from a top manufacturer and are extremely good in the wash. They do not shrink and you can wash them time and again without any problem at all.
Our next topic will be Baby Gowns, Baby Clothes, Baby Gift Sets and Baby Gro.
Babies Pyjamas
These are not something we would recommend a new mum and dad put their little one in straight away. We would advise that you wait until they are at least 6 months old, preferably 1 year old before putting them in pyjamas.
The reason for this is simple. Most pyjamas are made of cotton or a very light cool material. They will not be warm enough for a new little baby plus in the first few month of babies life it is feeding, changing constantly full on and pyjamas are not really a suitable item at this time.
If they are trying to stand up in the cot then they are even more dangerous, as the bottoms are likely to fall down and then they can get all entangled around their feet.
Baby gowns are recommended for the first 8 weeks at least and then into sleepsuits of either cotton or velour.
Next comes pyjamas if you want to go this way.
We here at Baby2you always like to keep a few styles available in stock. You will notice however that we do not start under 6 months old for this very reason.
