Babies Nursery

In this section we would like to talk about planning your babies Nursery. The room you choose for your pending new arrival needs to be thought about very carefully. It should not be a particularly sunny room in the summertime ( as it will get too hot ). Natural light should come in but a blind at the window is a great way to adjust the amount of light in the room. The temperature of the nursery should be comfortable, not too cool or too hot.

Colours are of course personal preference. As is wallpaper, emulsion,etc.

If you want to be practical about things a light colour on the walls of emulsion is always a good idea because that way you can just give it a light coat every now and then and keep it fresh all the time. Lots of new mums and dads like to do stencils as well.

When choosing a place for the babies cot – NEVER put it under the window - this is a very dangerous idea. As they get older and stronger ….need we say any more. 

Make sure your baby will not be in a draft of any kind or a damp room. Be creative, let your imagination run free. It should be a sanctuary for your little one. A calming influence.

If there is room a nursery chair for feeding baby is a good idea. That is where you will be spending a lot of your time.
