Advice for New Parents
We are not all about selling – we like to help out as much as we can to. We are here to try and help with all aspects of bringing up baby, the pregnancy, and all the rest that is going to come your way over the next few years.
Now that we are turning from late Springtime to early Summer in the next few weeks we would like to advise you that although it is very healthy to take baby out for a walk in the sun – always always make sure you have baby covered up in all senses of the word.
Put up the parasol on the buggy – or drape a blanket or sheet over the top so baby is in the shade, always without fail make sure baby is wearing a hat at all times when they are out and about even if the sun goes in.
Don’t make the usual mistake that young unexperienced mums and dads do by stripping the baby off as soon as the weather starts to warm up.
Take a leaf out of the celebrities book like Nicole Kidman with her adorable little tot – she never stips of neither her or her little one.
If you are planning a journey to the beach – keep a thin long sleeved top on all the time on all of you and you can even pop in and out of the sea like this – just remember not to strip off. The sun is great – but deadly on the skin!
Always remember your sun cream. Put it on before you leave your house. On babies skin make sure that you use a total sun block – no tanning for your precious little one’s delicate skin, not at such an early age. They have the rest of their lives to tan not in the first few years think white skin.
If you went to the local hospital and spoke to a skin expert this is the sort of advice you would be give.
We do not want to ruin your Summer in any way just remember that although the sun is great, it is so good for both your body and your mind it even contains Vitamin D it is fantastic, but there is heat stroke and many other things to consider by getting burnt by the sun, it hursts and no-one wants all the other side effects that can go with it. I think you know what we mean.
Take care and have a fantastic and safe Summer.
