Advice for New Mums
There has been a lot in the press recently about the stress that buggies can give to babies that lead into later life…
We thought just in case you had missed this relevant article we should tell you about it. There has been a case study done recently by a University Professor and on her findings when purchasing a new buggy or pram for your baby, it is vital that you make sure that baby is facing you all the time. Apparantly if you have one where the baby is facing away from you when you are pushing it, your little one becomes distressed. Since the moment you conceived it has been with you. When it is born you hold and cuddle it and talk to it and if baby cries you go to it and hold it. If you put your baby in a forward facing buggy then they can’t see you. If you are in a busy high street or road they can’t hear you and this apparantly sresses them out!
Make sure you can keep eye contact with them, talk to them, NEVER purchase a buggy or pram that faces away from you. The professor is trying to make all manufacturers discontinue the other type and stick to this idea only. She wants the other type taken off of the market.
Apparantly babies that were pushed in buggies years ago that faced away from mummy very often turn into anxious and more stressed out people. Generally they tend to be more of a worrying type of person – and we are sure that is not what any parent wants for their child later in life.
We hope that you find this advice of some use – especially if you are new mum and dad to be ( you need all the advice and help you can get! )
