Advice for New Mums

Teething is the subject we would like to talk to you about. These are very difficult times for both you and baby. Baby will start teething at around the 6 month time. They will be grouchy and touchy for up to two months while they are cutting a milk tooth. The gums will become red and swollen and your baby will probably have a slightly raised temperature as well. This is nothing to be concerned about, it is all part of the teething process. It can take up to 3 years before your little one has all of its 20 pearly white milk teeth. So as you can tell you are in for the long haul.

You can rub products on babies gums to try and help them, or give them a liquid pain killer like Calpol etc. there are quite a few brands on the market, this should help them for a few days just to get over the really bad few days.

Things should calm down after 2 -3 days. Always seek medical advice if you have any serious concerns about the health of your baby.
