Advice for Dads
Once your wife/partner tells you that she is expecting you are either jubiliant and jumping round the room for joy or you are shocked or ( and lets hope not ) you are horrified and not a happy bunny shall we say.
Later on down the line you have now adjusted to the idea, she is feeling sick most of the time and things are really beginning to sink in now, this is for real.
So often men are left out of the equasion of having a baby. It takes two people in the first place and it takes two all the way along the line.
Everyone fusses around the women, and we completely agree with that, she should be, but we all forget about the poor old man that helped in this venture.
You now have womens hormones to contend with ( good luck! ) and the birth, and all the expenses, and then the most wonderful gift of all the arrival of your son or daughter into the world.
Then sleepless nights, no money and so it goes on.
Now that we have painted a really bleak picture for you – you are probably completely turned off having sex by now let alone children, the rewards far outway all that has correctly been stated above.
The first time you see and hold your child will melt your heart. The love you will feel for it is like no other, completely overwhelming, the sense of achievement and pride that you created this life will fill your heart with joy, and you will quickly turn into one of those people that carries a photo around with them, and talks about the baby all day long.
We know that you would never believe that at this stage, but you will, and you can count on that!
Start saving if you can, this is only practical advice, as for the next long long time you are going to need more money than you had ever expected to need.
It all sounds so down and gloomy, but it really isn’t anything like that. It is the most wonderful things you are going to do in your life…….
